NY Courts E-Training and Support
Columbia Law Lawyering in the Digital Age Clinic

"...to provide the Justice Courts with more of the resources and support they need to meet their heavy responsibilities."

--Judith S. Kaye, Chief Judge (1983-2008)

Welcome to the New York Justice Courts E-Training and Support System!

This system is being developed by the Lawyering in the Digital Age Clinic at Columbia Law School in conjunction with the New York State Judicial Institute, the  NYS Town and Village Court Resource Center and the NYS Office of Court Administration.

The system is intended to: 1) be a practical tool for city, town and village court justices and others who are responsible for the operation and administration of these courts; 2) demonstrate the potential of digital technologies in facilitating cost effective institutional improvements in the legal/justice sector. The system seeks to respond to the needs of those who are directly involved in these courts (especially justices and clerks) and to follow-up on key recommendations of the Action Plan for the Justice Courts.
